Misty Bourg

Misty started her career in the financial services industry shortly after high school. In 1998, she was the wire operator for PaineWebber. In 2001, she moved to Wachovia Securities as an operations specialist.

In 2018, Misty started working at Northwestern Mutual as the director of first impressions, where she greeted everyone warmly and friendly.

Just a few years later, she quickly excelled and began working for a team of advisors as the director of operations. During this time, she passed the exam to become a licensed life and health insurance agent.

In the summer of 2021, she began her journey at Hancock Brokerage. Originally, she joined their team as a case manager, but shortly after starting, she took on an additional role – licensing and contracting. Simplicity acquired Hancock Brokerage in January of 2024. She worked at Simplicity as a licensing specialist.

Recently, Misty joined Griffin Distribution Partners’ staff as an advisor experience specialist. Her previous operations experience will be a valuable asset to this team.

Misty resides in Metairie, Louisiana, which is about 10 minutes from New Orleans, Louisiana, with her husband, Anthony, and her two sons, Liam and Cade. Misty and her family travel to Michigan as much as possible to spend time with her stepson, Jacob, and the 3 grandchildren, Kayden, Londyn, and Grayson.
