After graduating from UNC Chapel Hill with a degree in psychology, Teresa started her career as a financial advisor at Edward Jones.
In 2006, Teresa took advantage of an opportunity to move her advisory business to Lincoln Financial. She continued to excel as an advisor and took on an additional role in operations.
In 2012, Teresa successfully obtained her CFP®, Series 24, and took over advisor operations as sub OSJ. Teresa’s adept knowledge of operations paired with her capabilities as an advisor, propelled the organization to become national leader in sales and new advisor recruiting.
The firm’s success thrust Teresa into a new role. In this new position, Teresa became the main support for top producing advisors, and she was tasked with maintaining relationships for top clients.
In 2015, the organization that Teresa was key in developing, went fully independent. She followed the organization and earned the role of Chief Operations Officer. Since the organizational shift, Teresa has been crucial to the past and current success of the operation. With over fifteen years in the operational side of financial services, Teresa draws on her wealth of experience to aid in her role as COO at Griffin Distribution Partners. The relationships Teresa has developed throughout her career provide Griffin with an invaluable resource. She is known by her peers, clients, and coworkers to constantly deliver exceptional work.
Teresa resided in Wake Forest, North Carolina. She roots for the Tar Heels with her husband Sean, a Duke fan, and their 5 children Michael, Alexandra, Christopher, Kathryn, and Benjamin.
